Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan at Various Villages in Sunderbans
Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan aligns with the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, which aims to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. As part of this flagship Farmer Awareness & Outreach Campaign, approximately 2,000 teams, comprising agricultural scientists, officials, and progressive farmers, visit villages across India daily to promote innovative farming techniques.
As part of the VKSA 2025 initiative, ICAR-CIFRI conducted an interactive session at Haldarpara, Kultoli, engaging 100 selected farmers in practical demonstrations and discussions on integrated fish farming and soil-water interface techniques. This participatory event facilitated real-time problem-solving and built a platform for direct knowledge exchange between senior scientists and local fishers, promoting mutual learning and trust.
On 6th June, ICAR-CIFRI, in collaboration with Joygopalpur Gram Vikash Kendra and KVK Narendrapur, organized a large-scale event under the Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan in Joygopalpur and Nafarganj. Over 1,000 farmers from across the Sundarbans participated in this national campaign, which focused on empowering rural communities through sustainable practices, scientific awareness, and farmer-centric policies.
